I've noticed a lot of people complaining about how the Democratic protests underway in various Middle Eastern dictatorships were driving up the price of gas.
It bothered me that they could be seemingly more concerned with the contents of their wallets and gas tanks than with the liberty and lives
of foreigners, so I wanted to make something which would illustrate this contrast with regard to the relatively bloody revolution happening in Libya.
I'm very happy with how this cartoon turned out, and plan on submitting it to weekly cartoon round-up sections of the New York Times
and USA Today
this week, as well as Time Magazine
. If you liked the cartoon, you can best show your appreciation by contacting any or all of those publications and encouraging them to pick it up, as I've found they seem to listen more to reader response than they do to me.
